“I have acted with Mercy Johnson and Destiny Etiko, but wasn’t paid by producers” were the outcry of versatile nollywood Actress Boma Dokubo as she lament on her unfair treatment in the movie industry.
The Nollywood actress who is originally known by the name Boma Dokubo cried out on the challenges poised on being an upcoming actor in the Nollywood movie industry.
The actress made this disclosure known during her recent media briefing with popular OAP Daddy Freeze, of which she emphasized on the fact that despite being on the same project with top Nollywood actors she hasn’t earned much.
Citing some few other examples, the actress noted the fact that even though she had worked with the likes of Mercy Johnson and Destiny Etiko, she wasn’t paid for any of such act performance.
In her words, “I would say it is challenging when it comes to the financial aspect. You need to have a side hustle because the queue in the industry is quite much”
“I acted with Mercy Johnson in ‘Cr@zy Nurse’, where I played the role of a village girl who was sick and went to Mercy Johnson’s hospital for treatment.
I wasn’t paid in that movie” She disclosed.
