Many members died and others were injured as a result of the incident that happened at Francis Catholic Church in Owo.

According to the report, suspected terrorists are said to have attacked the church which is located close to the headquarters of Owo local government area in Ondo.
Following the incident, the state governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has sent his condolences across over what happened.

While the state police command have sent across all security apparatus to restore calmness to the area.

According to the report over 100 persons were confirmed de*d while others have been taken to hospital.
The massacre took place while all the church members were inside.
