1) She is always trying to make herself look better than you or your children: A daughter who comes into your family with the mindset of competing with you or your children is toxic. Family is not by blood but by the bond in which we share, if your daughter-in-law just comes into the family and under 1 or 2 months, she starts giving you or your children a shower, just draft a plan because you will need it.
2) She never lets you have a say in anything: This has to do with a controlling spirit. She wants to rule the family, control everything including how your son related to you which is toxic.
But also know that at this particular point, it is not every daughter in-law that does this that is toxic. Yes, some do this they feel insecure, inferior, or intimidated thinking that if they don’t act fast, the man’s family will control her in the end and may even end up chasing her away from her married.
