How I Fell In Love With My Facebook Friend

My name is Sandra I fell in love with my Facebook friend.

It all started eight (8) years ago when I was still a young girl, I really knew nothing about love,

I always believed that love was a game between a man and a

woman which at the end will have only one winner either the

girl or the guy. What I mean here is that, I didn’t believe in the word love.

I use to doubt it because I never fell in love nor have I ever had

a strong feelings for any guy before in my life.

If I like you today, tomorrow anything you do will just pissed me up before you know it, I break up.

Six years ago I came across a guy by name Emman.

Emman was a tall fair gentleman who was a student of Nekede

back then while me I was just graduating from high school.

We met online and we became friends just friends nothing

attached to it, perhaps, I didn’t like him, we always ended up

having misunderstanding anything we chat because to him, he

doesn’t want to lose in an argument likewise me.So with that, we

were distanced till 2014

When I had admission into Computer training school. He came

around the neighborhood and decided to call me so that we could

meet.

Since he didn’t invite me to his house, I agreed to meet him

because it was an open place and it was in the day time, so I

wasn’t afraid to meet with him.

When we met, I discovered that he was more handsome than in

pictures, his sense of dressing was perfect, at least he knew how

to combine clothes but still, I wasn’t moved because I didn’t

believe in love.

Since then I’ve been keeping him in a friend zone maybe I was

afraid to love.

In 2016, I decided to try, I gave him a chance to see if i can be

in love but before I could know what happened the feelings was

gone, I tried to force myself to be romantic even on phone, but it

didn’t work out. so I broke up with him that same day without his

notice.

Then 2017 during his birthday, he invited me over but I turned

him down because I couldn’t appear in public then with a guy

because of the respect I had for my mother.

Perhaps, I couldn’t even tell my mother where I wanted to go,

but he ended up being angry, he refused to call me anymore, nor

chat with me, but I notice that anytime I post, he will go to my

post and liked it.

Though I didn’t mind because there was no feeling available, I felt

nothing because his presence nor absence was meaningless to

me.

But in 2018 after I posted something and he dropped an annoying

comment on it.

I got angry and warn him never to comment anything negative

on my post, then he apologized.

Few days later, things started changing, I started having him in

my thought, then I decided to ask him why he was like that, and

he told me that I refused coming to his birthday nor even showed

that I care, so we talked and settle it.

From there we started chatting again, and he tried to tell me how

much he still loved me after six years, I thought about it for the

first time, and started clearing my negative thought about love.

I stopped faking to love someone which I don’t, then I fell in

love.

But today I answer calls and smile, which I think I’M IN LOVE

THIS TIME FOR REAL. And am in love with the same guy that

loved me six years ago. That’s my story with my facebook friend.

PROMISES: promise is like unseen arrival, promise gives hope and once we make it, we have given hope and relief to someone.

Promise we say is an affirmation of intent, large and small which mark a wide number of interpersonal activities from marriage to specific behavior toward another person to the completion of tasks at home or at work. This requires us to declare a conscious aims.

At times we talk more than we can do, we make promises, some which are bigger than us and some which are not even necessary to make.

Most times we make promises without having an avenue on how to fulfill those promises. We make promise to get rid of something or someone at a particular point in time.

We also make promises to get what we want. Have we ever thought about these promises we do make without fulfilling them, either make us or mar us in the public?

Mr. Rueben Amano who is a socialist once told me “if only we know the covenant we make in the name of promises, we will find it difficult to make one”. 80% of families isolate every day because of unfulfilling promises and about 60% of relationship (courtship) breaks out of bad promises.

Most times we make promises without minding the hope we have given to someone. No matter how little the promise is, it is pertinent we fulfill it.

A lot of young ladies endanger their lives because of promise words the heard from one guy like that who promised them that he was different from the rest.

One month, two months, six months, a year plus we are still walking around without taking any step. We talk without during it. We don’t have to walk around telling people our dreams/visions all we have to do is to start from somewhere “no matter how the beginning is small”, the later shall be greater.

When we have this kind of understanding and mind set, anything is possible and the move we take is what announce us not the talking.

This is my love story

Hello, my name is Christopher from Aguata of Anambra state but my mother is from Delta from which she was married from.

Delta state, have good women just like my mother, Therefore with that insight, the relationship between me and Delta state people became so tight.

So with that, I always told myself that I was going to marry from there due to my mother’s life style towards my father. They both loved and respected their union.

One day, it was weekend, I woke up from sleep and it was like a special day for me, I was so happy and having a beautiful lyrics “IF” by Davido, a Nigeria singer in my mind and if one should ask me why that smiling face.

Seriously I couldn’t have said reasonable answer till when I stepped out as usual to meet my friends whom I don’t normally have chance to visit or see because of the nature of work.

As I was on my way my eyes turned as if its turned on its own to the left side, behold what my eye saw, a beautiful damsel standing by waiting for her friends to come as well before they take off and by her actions and statements you can tell.

Wow!!! I couldn’t stand it anymore, I had to approach her with immediate action and as a young looking responsible and handsome guy (smiles) I gained her attention and from there we became friends.

One blissful day, I called her on phone and we planned on a date. As we later met at Genesis restaurant, we had Lunch together and summarized it with a gist.

As days went by, my feelings for her started growing and the love, falling like a river and I began to think over these sudden feelings for her.

It is true that she is beautiful and every man’s desire but I think I don’t have to rush this,

but this thing kept ringing in my mind and each time she come across my mind, I will find myself smiling and happiness was unmeasurable just like the faithful day I saw her.

So I decided to reveal this to my very good friend called Seun, a Yoruba guy. Seun is a psychologist by profession.

He told me that if I was very excited without knowing why I was excited one morning as I said, and that same day I met her and accepted becoming my friend that means she was not only the source of my happiness but whom nature has designed for me as my woman to be.

He over convinced me with this saying or adage that

“when your own comes you will know”,

he told me that my eye saw my own and decided to show me.

He ended with words of encouragement but I was still asking myself several questions meaning I was not too sure

For the fact I assured myself that I will marry from Delta state and I became excess confused as the friendship continues.

This lady started showing more care day by day but was afraid to tell her how I felt for her as well.

A faithful day, I decided to give a trial and called her out for a Lunch and there, I asked her to be my woman and promised to love her without condition.

And behold she was confused seeing me as an Igbo man proposing to her an Akwa Ibom lady and she asked being in state of dilemma “why do you prefer me amongst other beautiful ladies in Your own land?

I laughed and told her that nature should answer that one! and she smiled and accepted.

The relationship was moving smoothly and enjoyable and truly she was a good woman that every good man would love to and because she grew up in a family that has fear of God and discipline.

She became so different from every other lady have ever met. There was something in her that kept drawing me to her even in this stage of confusion I just can’t help myself than to keep thinking about us what we shared was special.

This courtship was a year plus (+) when I decided to perform her rites and take her to the alter when my mother insisted that nothing will make me marry from that state and if I should, then I have to kill her first.

Behold the whole members of the family was in support of this. but what will I do. My mother may kill herself.

One day my mother whom I so much love and always obey her commands and try to fulfill her wished called me for a private conversation.

To my greatest surprise she tried to convinced me and trust mothers, they can even cry to make you pity them and have their wishes fulfilled.

I became so confused and more daily. I don’t know how to meet my girlfriend and tell her we can’t marry anymore.

I so much love her and I can’t withstand her cries because it touches me so badly.

She is the woman of my choice and for months I have been with her, we never had nor even a frown face for each other except we are playing.

My mother from the other side has gotten a beautiful woman from Delta, a place I always wish to marry from before I met my girl from Akwa Ibom.

The truth is that, I have never disobeyed my mother because she sacrifices a lot for me to be who I am today but now my happiness and fulfillment is found in a particular family in Akwa Ibom.

this is my love story, but currently, I am in state of dilemma, does this still make me a baby at my age? please I need your advice now like mad!

FG, Labour finally Agree on N30,000 Minimum Wage Implementation

In what appears to be a relief to both the government and

organized labour, both parties have come to an agreement at last

on the issue of the implementation of the new minimum wage, a

battle which has been raging for quite a while now.

The discussion for the new minimum wage began in the second

half of Buhari’s first tenure and spilled into his second term as the

implementation had been a bone of contention between the two

parties.

At the meeting on Thursday, the third of such this week, both

sides finally agreed on the percentage increase for grade levels

seven to 17.

The agreed terms are as follows:

COMES wage structure

Grade level seven= 23 percent, level 8=20 percent, level 9=19 percent, level 10 -14 = 16 percent, level 15-17=14 percent.

CONHES, CONRRISE, CONTISS, etc

Level 7= 22.2 percent

Level 8-14 = 16 percent

Level 15-17 = 10.5 percent

The meeting also increased the salaries of military and

paramilitary officers, but the percentages were kept confidential.

Announcing the agreement, the Minister of Labour for State,

Festus Keyamo made the announcement via his twitter account

saying, ‘After some delicate negotiations (with both Ministers as

conciliators) Government & Labour have finally reached an

agreement on the consequential adjustments of other wages

following the implementation of the enhanced minimum wage of

N30,000. We are now working on the communique’

Many of us don’t like hearing the word let’s be friends because it irritates us we prefer it to be a Yes or a No.

“Let’s called a spade a spade” but one thing we do forget is that friendship is the most important reason we want to get into a relationship with a particular person at a particular time and that’s why it plays an important role

Before we talk more, what is friendship to us.

“FRIENDSHIP” has so many meanings, it means attachment, good-fellowship, familiarity, harmony, alliance, fondness etc etc.

We will further say “Friendship is the process whereby different individuals or animals comes together to associate.

Note that, in this kind of situation, Happiness and peace of mind is very far away.

Many people feel bad when they hear the word can we just be friends? let’s be friends etc. And with that,they give up on trying, if you ask them why? they will tell you that there is no need of being friends with someone they are in love with. But that’s very wrong. you liked her?

what about her? Does she like you but she doesn’t want to jump into the a relationship immediately, then she now decided to use this friendship period to get to know you a little bit. Love is a gradual process, it can get to anyone at any time most times, when you least expected.

A little story:

I have a friend, each time we decide to either hang out or see a movie, she will invite other of her friends alone.

Now one of this her friends who was in a serious relationship according to her, each time she comes around, her fiance will be calling every five to ten minutes to check on her. And each time that occur we will be making fun of them singing love songs for them, but instead of her to be smiling after the calls, she will start lamenting most time.

One day, I decided to ask her why her mood always changed each time the guy calls her. What she said marvels me

She said” why will a guy be calling me every five to ten minutes anytime I tell him I was going out with friends, is that not in security?

I now ask her what was wrong with that, perhaps is it not what ladies want, she say to me, ladies, not me, cause to me, I don’t like too much phone calls, I prefer text messages.

He calls too much and it makes him looks desperate and with that, I feel uncomfortable.

Immediately I heard that statement, I now decided to interview her.

My questions were as follows;

Do you love him? She said yes she does.
How long have you known him? She said three months.
And how long have you guys dated? She said three months
You dated him that same month you knew him? She said well, it was like a week or two later.

After the whole thing, I now discover that they didn’t create friendship first before they started their relationship. Which means they started their relationship in trial and error.

The man likes phone calls and checking on his fiancee but in the other hand, the fiancee is not okay with it. She is busy complaining all the time because she prefers text messages to phone calls. Now, that’s individual differences.

We may not know the dos and the don’ts of a person unless we are closer to them through friendship.

when friendship is created first, we will get to know who we are dealing with, the persons likes and dislike. Despite the fact that you won’t know everything at that moment but gradually, you will know.” It is better to marry your friend than your lover” your friend knows your ups and downs.

And still stays around, there are things you can’t tell a lover why?Because he or she may run away.

therefore, don’t feel bad if a lady or a guy tells you let’s be friends… what you should worry about is after this, will there be a possibility of something developing between you two or will it just end with let’s be friends.

Well i will say that’s up to you, the things you do and the way you handle things will determine if she will stay or not.

Nollywood actress, Funke Adesiyan has emerged one of the political aides of Nigeria’s first lady, Aisha Buhari.

Yoruba actress, Funke Adesiyan has been announced as one of the recently appointed political aides to Nigeria’s first lady, Aisha Buhari. [Allnewsng]
The actress was appointed the Personal Assistant to the First Lady on Domestic and Social events alongside five other appointees.

On Wednesday, October 16, 2019, Adesiyan’s appointment was approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.

She is expected to resume duties immediately at the office of the First Lady, which became effective after the return of Aisha Buhari from London.

The ‘Obinrin Ale’ star joined active politics when she emerged as the southwest coordinator for Mallam Shekarau’s presidential campaign in 2011.

ITS NEVER TOO LATE TO START OVER

(Never too late)

I kept thinking of what life was all about, what was in stock for

me, where I come from and where I was going.

I kept digging in and in still I had no answer, life was frustrating.

moving from place to places, visiting uncles, aunties, friends, I

visited neighbors.

They all turned their backs on me Life was unbearable. None

seems working positively for me. I don’t know why life seems to

treat me like this. kept wondering and asking myself

“Is this how nature really designed life for me, was I living the life

I was meant to live, why is my own different now?

Yes!!! I said now because I can remember when I had lived a

meaningful life, when I was cared for when I was somebody,

when my uncle do come around and ask of me, when my aunties

where my best friends.

What a life, so life really have episode as I heard. No doubt, this

episode is mine but I just hope will just summarize it and turn to

the next page of life.

Day to day I keep losing and dying slowly out of hunger. Life can

treat badly but I don’t blame myself for this episode I am into

now but death!!!!

Death, took away everything in a twinkle of an eye. Oh Parent!

Why should death visit you people now leaving only me on earth

to suffer.

Your brothers that used to get favor from you have abandoned

me; your sisters who only come when they needed your financial

aids have dumped me as a waste in the family.

I kept lamenting as days go by, I now took it as a daily job, but

One day, I asked myself “should I keep on thinking about this

miserable life and the wicked living in it?

No! I think everything happens for a reason and I know I have

my own destiny if I should pursue for it and stop lamenting and

asking for help from people who don’t care about me.

One day, I stood up with courage and stepped out in the society

(street), as I was walking i was telling myself “Its never too late.

I was asking God for one thing which

was “Reveal to me oh! God that I shall never depart from it”.

As this was going through my mind, behold a man who I don’t

even know his name nor his background called my name in full.

I was shocked and tensed but because of my condition I needed

help by all means and that prompted me to give him my attention

and he began to explain himself to me.

It happens that it was one of those my father helped to achieve

their goals. No doubt, mere looking at him, he was living very

okay and financially freedom and as he told me he is a

pharmacist.

Suddenly, I began to shed tears and he held me and asked me

why I was crying, I told him if my father would help you to be a

pharmacist you are today, how much more would he has planned

for my future?

This question got him confused and he asked me of my father,

and I told him that I didn’t just loose a father but my parent, I

lost them in a ghastly motor accident some months ago and

today, am without parent and my relatives have turned their

backs on me and I became useless, hopeless but thank God I am

not homeless.

Before I could summarized my agony of life to him, he started

crying and pleaded me to stop and to my surprise he promised to

take care of my burdens because that was a promise he made to

my father back then.

You see, our good deeds
on earth may seem useless
but when God will turn it
useful is when you become
useless.

You see my father is now useless but is good deeds have made

his generation useful.

He took it to himself and sent me back to school where I

completed my secondary school and he helped me write a

scholarship exam which by the Grace of God I passed and was

taken care of by Sheveron oil company throughout my university

and was retained in the company after my graduation.

One day I visited his family (now a married man with kids) and I

made the same promise he made to my father to him and even if

as he is not poor , I will still contribute to his child welfare.

God used him to make a nobody like me a somebody. Today, I

am comfortable with life.

At times things happens in your life for you to know who your

friends are, those who are with you, for you and those who are

against you. Also for God to show himself manifest in your life.

Making something out of nothing.
